Man jumps White House fence during Thanksgiving

A man apprehended on Thursday at around 3:00 PM was reportedly draped in an American flag when he climbed over the White House fence, prompting a lockdown inside and many security personnel to patrol the outside. A witness to the incident, Victoria Pena of Houston, said the man was standing with other people visiting the White House compound when he rushed toward the fence carrying what appeared to be a binder. This is the third major attempt on the White House since 2014, when a Texas man was able to scale the fence and enter the building.
