Rock the Bells welcomes virtual Eazy E and Ol’ Dirty Bastard

Rock the Bells announced on Wednesday that Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Eazy E will take the stage during their 10 year anniversary festival. ODB will perform alongside former group Wu-Tang-Clan and Eazy E will accompany Bone Thugz-N-Harmony.

The artists will appear as virtual images, similar to that of the Tupac Shakur performance last year at Coachella, which inspired the revival of the ODB and Eazy E performances.

‘Sesame Street’ adds new Hispanic character

Twenty-six year-old Ismael Cruz will become the new addition to “Sesame Street” playing a character named Armando or “Mando” for short. Armando is from Brooklyn and loves social media and writing short stories.

The addition of Armando will expand the already extensive Hispanic cast on the show, which includes Maria and Luis, who joined the show in 1971 as human characters, and Rosita, the turquoise monster who joined the cast in 1993.

Angelina Jolie announced to the New York Times on Tuesday that she underwent a double mastectomy after learning she carried the mutation of the BRCA1 (breast cancer susceptibility gene) gene, which heavily increases the chances of developing breast and ovarian cancer.

Usher to curate 4th of July fireworks show

The Grammy-award winning singer will be collaborating with Macy’s to curate the music and design of the firework show on July 4th. Macy’s stated on Thursday that this is their first time working with a musical artist for the show.

The show, titled “It Begins With a Spark”, will feature music by Usher as well as by Rihanna, Swedish House Mafia, Jimi Hendrix, and Frank Sinatra. Usher will also create visual design cues for the choreography of the fireworks.

Chris Kelly funeral to be held in Atlanta

Mourners will gather in Atlanta for the funeral of Kris Kross rapper Chris Kelly. His funeral will be help on Thursday at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church. It has been suspected that Kelly died from a drug overdose.

The rap duo was discovered in 1992 by rapper-producer Jermanie Dupri, who later produced the global number 1 hit “Jump”. Kelly, known as “Mac Daddy” performed along side Chris Smith, known as “Daddy Mac”.

PepsiCo. has agreed to have a meeting on Wednesday with members of Emmett Till’s family and Rev. Al Sharpton.

Sharpton pushed for the meeting after a controversy began, which stemmed from PepsiCo’s Mountain Dew promotion between Lil Wayne, and Tyler the Creator. ‘Charlie Brown’ actor faces prison time

Peter Robbins, the voice of Charlie Brown, faces possible prison time for stalking and threatening his ex-girlfriend and her plastic surgeon.

The 56-year-old “Peanuts” show actor called his former girlfriend over 35 times in a 24-hour period threatening to kill her and their son if she did not return his dog and car. Robbins repeatedly called the plastic surgeon asking for a refund for his ex-girlfriend’s breast enhancement.

Bieber faces copyright lawsuit

Virginia songwriters, Devin Copeland and Mareio Overton, are suing Justin Bieber and Usher for $10 million for copyright infringement. According to the VA songwriters, Bieber’s song “Somebody to Love” contains many lyrical and stylistic similarities to the original song produced in 2008 with the same title.

The duo filed a lawsuit on Tuesday in federal court in Norfolk, VA. The lawsuit says that Copeland and Overton provided their song to musical promoters who in turn gave it to Usher.
