Paris Hilton tries to settle NYC lingerie lawsuit

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton was in federal court on Monday for closed-door settlement talks in a lawsuit brought by Le Bonitas. The company sued the 31-year-old socialite in 2010 over a licensing agreement for a line of lingerie that she lent her name to. Le Bonitas claims that Hilton hurt business by not signing off on its designs quickly enough and blames her reservations to cooperate as attributing to the failed dealings. In a countersuit, Hilton accused the company of trying to avoid paying $1.5 million it owes her.

Both sides left court without announcing a settlement.
