Rapper helps save driver in diabetic shock

Rapper Layzie Bone (real name Steven Howse) of renowned Hip-Hip group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony recently helped save a life. Layzie Bone, 40, was traveling to a concert in Riverton, Wyoming, to promote his new album ‘Perfect Timing’ on Saturday when he saw a vehicle driving erratically on the road. The car nearly slammed into the rapper’s car, as well as several other drivers, before veering off the road and spinning to a stop. Layzie Bone and his manager immediately pulled over. Before long, Layzie Bone and other drivers who had pulled over to help were able to figure out that the man was suffering from a diabetic episode, which could have proved fatal if he had stayed on the road. Luckily, medics were passing by at the time and an elderly couple had fresh fruit on hand, which Layzie Bone fed to the unidentified man to stabilize his blood sugar levels. A diabetic shock bears some semblance to a DUI, except there is no alcohol involved. According to Wyoming Highway Patrol Lieutenant Chris Schell, a medical emergency resulting in erratic driving is extremely rare. The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated and later released.
