Slipknot guitarist charged in stabbing altercation with brother

Slipknot guitarist Mickael Thomson was charged in Iowa after a violent fight with his younger brother earlier this month in which Thomson was stabbed. Clive Police Department Chief Michael Venema stated that both 41-year-old Thomson and his brother, 35-year-old Andrew Thomson, were responsible for the March 11 incident that hospitalized the pair. The Thomson brothers were charged with disorderly conduct by fighting. They are set to appear in court March 30. Venema added that the druken altercation started inside Mickael Thomson’s home and moved outside, where it quickly became physical. Mickael Thomson suffered from a stab wound to the back of his head. The brothers were transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The heavy metal band Slipknot formed in September 1995 in Des Moines, IA.
