The University of Maryland has plans to turn College Park into a new Silicon Valley. The university announced that it has hired Ken Ulman and his consulting firm Margrave Strategies to revitalize the Hyattsville campus. The firm will work with the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, which is the university’s separate fundraising source. University President Wallace Loh says previous projects failed without non-academic insight into the plans, and hopes the new hire will help focus the initiative.
