Man struck and killed by MARC train

A man was hit and killed by a southbound MARC train on the Camden line Monday morning at about 6:30 a.m. The man was attempting to cross the tracks at the time, just south of the Muirkirk station, according to MRC. The man later died. His identity has not been released. The incident caused delays for train commuters and drivers until nearly 11 a.m. The passengers on the train that hit the man were kept at the scene for more than two hours, but were sent on their way around 8:45 a.m.
