Maryland – Man sentenced for killing infant son for insurance payout

Moussa Sissoko of Silver Spring, Maryland, has been convicted of killing his 3-month old son in 2001 to collect $750,000 worth of life insurance. The 38-year-old was sentenced to life in prison Thursday. According to court records, Sissoko killed his son and then tried to become the sole beneficiary of the life insurance policy he had taken out on the child. Sissoko was previously convicted and sentenced to life in prison in 2002. He was granted a new trial after a judge said his lawyer should have called different medical specialists for the trial.
