Prince George’s Council approve new health officer, planning board member

Prince George’s County Council approved Pamela Creekmur, a registered nurse and former administrator for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, as the new health officer. Creekmur, 52, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, had been acting health chief since last summer. The Council approved her $155,000 per year post unanimously on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the council also unanimously approved the nomination of Manuel R. Geraldo, 61, of Fort Washington, to the county’s planning board. The Prince George’s planning board is part of the bi-county Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, which oversees the development of parks in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties.
