Burger-and-custard joint Shake Shack is opening a location in Baltimore. The chain will be opening a restaurant at 400 East Pratt Street on Monday. Shake Shack’s original location opened in 2004 in New York City’s Madison Square Park. Shake Shack has since added locations in nine states and D.C., as well as additional locations in New York and international outposts in London, Moscow, Dubai and more. The chain stated they will offer two Baltimore-specific custard treats in addition to burgers and fries. Examples of the new dessert selections include: the “Pratt St. Pie oh My,” vanilla custard with a slice of blueberry pancake pie. The location will also sell the “Salty Balty,” a chocolate and vanilla custard with chocolate truffle cookie dough, cheesecake blondie and sea salt. Five percent of sales from the Salty Balty will be donated to charity Moveable Feast, which provides meals to people in need. The restaurant will also exclusively serve ShackMeister Ale, by Brooklyn Brewery, and offer house red and white wine from California’s Frog’s Leap Winery. Shake Shake will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
