Possible jury leaks in the grand jury hearing of the case of Ferguson, MO, Police Officer Darren Wilson are being investigated. A Twitter post Wednesday implied that a jury member may have discussed evidence with a friend, who then shared that information online. The tweet was taken down quickly, but not before people taking screenshots recorded the messages. A record of the tweet includes, “I know someone sitting on the grand jury of this case[.] There isn’t enough at this point to warrant an arrest. #Ferguson” The grand jury is to decide next month whether Wilson should be indicted for the killing of unarmed teenager Michael Brown on August 9. The incident and lack of official response has led to ongoing protests in the St. Louis, MO, suburb, as well as two federal investigations into civil rights abuse claims against the Ferguson PD.
