A 15-year-old Connecticut boy is being held on a $2 million bond after he was charged in the brutal slaying of a man who police say had spilled coffee on him at a Stamford McDonald’s. Police have not publicly identified the Stamford teen charged with the murder of Antonio Muralles. Muralles, 52, was beaten with a stick and stabbed in the heart in front of the fast-food restaurant at 25 Bedford Street March 11. The boy appeared in a closed hearing Tuesday. He did not enter into a plea agreement, and his attorney refused to comment on the allegations. According to the Stamford Advocate, the case was moved to adult court. The teen is one of two people arrested over the weekend and charged. Another suspect, James McLamb, 22, of New Haven, appeared in court on Monday. Muralles attempted to apologize, but the group of three to five people involved in the horrifying incident refused to listen and things escalated quickly. Police are still searching for the other suspects. EMS crews responding to an unrelated matter in the area found Muralles at the corner of Broad and Bedford streets. Muralles was then transported to Stamford Hospital, where he went through emergency surgery for several hours but eventually passed away at 1:07 a.m. The 15-year-old allegedly stabbed Muralles several times in the arms and torso, before fleeing the scene. He had been hiding out in Waterbury and was arrested immediately on Monday upon returning home.
