Politics – Protests erupt outside Trump rally in New Mexico

Outside Donald Trump’s rally Tuesday night in New Mexico protesters lit fires, smashed a door and threw rocks. Police ushered protesters away from Trump’s event at Albuquerque’s convention center and into the nearby streets where the anti-Trump group chanted “F*** Donald Trump.” Protesters had also broken a glass door to the convention center and jumped on police vehicles. While the protests in New Mexico were similar to those in Chicago earlier this year in March, police in Albuquerque were able to keep protesters separated from Trump supporters. Trump had already left the event. Protesters disrupted the event inside sporadically as well, resulting in at least three being forcibly removed by police.
