Arlington neighborhood dogs poisoned intentionally

Residents of an Arlington, Virginia, neighborhood have reason to believe that two dogs were intentionally poisoned. Scott Kaye said that his five-year-old Chihuahua Bonnie ate what looked like a sausage during a walk on Sunday morning. Soon after, he had to rush Bonnie to the hospital, where he discovered that she was the second dog from the block to be poisoned. Neighbors received warning emails about the poisonings. A thorough search of the neighborhood turned up numerous chunks of sausage stuffed with pills on North Columbus Street. The substance in the pills is currently being tested. If it can be determined that the sausage was poisoned intentionally, whoever did it may face charges of animal cruelty.
