Man arrested for throwing Molotov cocktail in Ballston Mall

Leon Alphans Traille Jr., 29, has been charged with arson after throwing a Molotov cocktail into the food court at Ballston Mall in Arlington VA. The crude, homemade incendiary device did not ignite properly and no injuries have been reported. Police did however close the mall for  several hours, and found three similar weapons on the 2nd floor.

Traille is awaiting trial for arson, use of a fire bomb, and attempted malicious bodily injury by use of fire  at the courthouse in Alexandria. Arson is a federal offense. Police have not described a motive in the incident.
