3 people hospitalized in Southeast D.C. after apartment fire
Three people in Southeast D.C. have been hospitalized after an early morning fire at an apartment building, according to officials on Friday. The fire broke out in the 1300 block of Alabama Avenue shortly after 4:30 a.m. Police believe the fire may have been sparked in the kitchen of a second-floor unit of the three-story building.
Three of the residents are receiving treatment for smoke inhalation at George Washington Hospital, according to officials. No other details were made available about the extent or cost of the damage caused by the fire.
