D.C. Mayoral candidates participated in a debate held by the American University’s Kennedy Political Union at the university, Thursday. Three candidates participated, Carol Schwartz (I), Muriel Bowser (D), and David A. Catania (I). No candidate came out on top in the debate, and the majority of the conversation seemed to be focused on personal details rather than political goals. The Washington post reports that Bowser has 43 percent support at this point, Catania 26 percent and Schwartz 16 percent. The election is 50 days away, on November 4.
