The D.C. Taxicab Commission says is it investigating a man’s report of after an unexpected turn of events during his Uber car ride. Ryan Simonetti claims he and two colleagues were planning to take an Uber car from Penn Quarter to Tysons Corner when his driver started running red lights and speeding along 395 to the point that Simonetti tried to force him to apply the break. A taxi inspector was following the whole thing, the commission is waiting to speak with the driver before deciding to file any charges. The driver is no longer active with the company.
