Marion Barry, D.C. Councilman, hospitalized in Las Vegas

Washington, D.C. Councilmember Marion Barry has been hospitalized in Las Vegas. Barry developed a blood clot while waiting on a plane in Memphis, according to a post on his Twitter account.

While having dinner, Barry reportedly felt pain in his leg. He was ultimately taken to Summerlin Hospital Medical Center where he was given blood thinners, reported by NBC 7. Barry told NBC 7’s Tom Sherwood, “The blood clot has no impact on my physical feeling or my mental ability. I thank God for that.”
