A peaceful protest in Washington on Thursday took place over the national uproar of the shooting of Missouri teen, Michael Brown. The crowd of people gathered at Meridian Hill Park, holding up their hands and carrying signs that read, “Don’t Shoot.” The park was filled with hundreds of protestors, who hope the nation will unify against crime like this. ” “There’s been no violence at all, there has been no looting, there has been no rioting, we’ve been out here peacefully and you know, for us to come together like this black, white, Hispanic, everyone, it means a lot,” said one attendee.
