Registration for the D.C. Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon opens this week to the thousands of residents aiming to participate in the March event. People can register for the 2016 Rock ‘n’ Roll D.C. Marathon, half marathon and 5K races beginning on May 21. The races are set to take place on March 12, 2016. According to Dan Cruz, a spokesman for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series, the prices for registration are: $80 for the marathon, $70 for the half and $35 for the 5K. The prices increase as the race date nears. The races (also known for energetic musical performances on the course and a concert following the day’s events) will start at the National Mall and finish at RFK Stadium. The 2016 race will be the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series’ fifth year in D.C. after it was previously branded the “National Marathon.” Read more information regarding registration for the race on the event’s official website.
