White House officials have revealed evidence of recent hacking into unclassified computer networks that resulted in temporary disruptions. Officials believe that the hackers were working for the Russian government and stated that an ongoing investigation has found no damage to the systems, nor evidence that the classified network was accessed. The breach was discovered two to three weeks ago, sources say. The investigation includes the FBI, Secret Service and NSA as well as the White House. Recent targets of Russian hackers have included NATO, the Ukrainian government and U.S. defense contractors, according to reports from security firms.
