Angelina Jolie was been named an Honorary Dame by Queen Elizabeth II Friday. In a personal meeting at Buckingham Palace in London, Jolie was presented with the Insignia of an Honorary Dame Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George. As she is not a British citizen, the title is honorary and she will not be referred to as a dame. The title is in response to Jolie’s work in campaigning against sexual violence, and her work with UK foreign policy in recent years.
