Protesting spreads throughout Middle East
Protests have spread throughout the Middle East after the release of a video degrading the prophet Muhammad. The first protests started in Libya, where the U.S ambassador was killed by rocket fire outside the U.S embassy. The protests have spread to Egypt, Israel, and a host of other Middle Eastern countries. The protesters have been heard screaming “death to America” and “death to Israel”. Attacks in the Yemen included another attack on an American embassy, where the Yemen president apologized and vowed to find those behind the attack.
In Egypt, riot police have had to use volley after volley of tear gas to keep protestors at bay. Even that has not been totally effective, with many protestors throwing rocks and any object they can find at the police and the embassy. The Yemen rioters attacked the embassy, beating out glass windows and replacing the American flag with a flag that said “there is no God but Allah”. All embassy officials were accounted for.
