A man took a coffee shop in a Sydney shopping district hostage Sunday (Monday in Sydney). The man, since identified as Man Haron Monis, also known as Sheikh Haron, is a self-titled Muslim cleric who made demands for an ISIS flag and a call to the Australian Prime Minister. Police stormed the Lindt Chocolate Café in Martin Place to overcome and kill Monis. Immediately before the police movement, at least six hostages were seen running from the café. At least four others were taken out of the café on stretchers afterwards. The incident has not been declared a terror attack by the Australian government, while the country remains at a high terror alert standing.
