Police arrested 19-year-old Zacchaeus Blanding on charges of killing Heineken McNeil, who was also 19. McNeil’s body was found burning in a trashcan on June 23. The autopsy revealed that he had also been shot. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said that, although there was original speculation that the murder was related to a feud between northeast neighborhoods, police now know that Blanding and McNeil knew each other.
