A female grizzly bear in Yellowstone National Park who killed a man last week was euthanized Thursday. Her two cubs are being transferred to a facility accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. In a statement, the park said that the main factor in the decision to euthanize the grizzly was that the bear ate a great deal of the hiker’s body, which is not normal for self-defense.
