Biden has not ruled out 2016 bid

Before Joe Biden’s son died last month, the vice president told reporters that he was still deciding whether he would run for president in 2016. A source who knows Biden’s thinking said that he plans to announce whether or not he is running in early August, little more than a month away. His office has declined to comment on the subject. Biden is polling a far second behind Hilary Clinton, but ahead of declared candidates Bernie Sanders, Jim Webb, and Martin O’Malley. The vice president has many supporters who are ready to begin his campaign if he decides to declare his candidacy.
