Early Wednesday morning, a witness found a man’s body in the Tidal Basin near the Jefferson Memorial. Police took the body to the medical examiner’s office and have not yet determined the cause of death. Human remains were also found in the Potomac River, approximately five miles from the Tidal Basin, later in the day. Police are unsure whether the two occurrences are related.
