Charles Manson follower Bruce Davis recommended for parole

Four the fourth time, parole officials have decided that it is safe to free Charles Manson follower Bruce Davis. This is his fourth recommendation for parole; the first three were blocked, once by Gov. Arnold Scharzenegger and twice Gov. Jerry Brown. Brown will decide on this most recent recommendation in about five months. Bruce Davis was not involved in the notorious killings of actress Sharon Tate and six others, but he did murder two people. He is serving a life sentence and has been in jail for 43 years. Since his imprisonment, Davis has become a born-again Christian and earned a PhD in philosophy of religion. He serves as a minister for other inmates.
