Lawyers indicted for allegedly torturing couple

Leo Fisher and his wife Sue Duncan were tortured and stabbed last November by Andrew and Alecia Schmuhl. The two were separated and stabbed during a “torture session that lasted for hours”, according to their emotional testimony and police reports. Andrew was indicted on seven charges and his wife faces six — including abduction, malicious assault, armed burglary and evading police.

 

Police found child after reported abducted from mother

Damien Goode went missing this morning after his mother reported she was threatened by Dajuan Goode, his father. She claimed Dajuan had a gun, took her son with him and got off the train at the Pentagon City stop. Metro Transit police now found the two and say the child is in safe hands.

Maryland looking for escaped inmate

The prisoner escaped in Queen Anne’s County on Friday. The sheriff’s department says Alex Finnerty is a 20-year-old male, 5 foot, 3 inches tall, 165 pounds and wearing a navy blue jumpsuit. Schools in the immediate area are on lockdown.

Suspect of quadruple homicide in custody

The Maryland resident believed to have killed a family and their housekeeper was arrested Thursday around 11 p.m. Officers say Daron Dylon was leaving a Howard Johnson hotel in College Park when spotted with “five other people in a car and a box truck. Dylon and the five other were taken into custody along with the mysterious $10,000 found in the truck.

 

Police seek assaulters of a senior citizen

Authorities are asking for help to identify four people of interest that are connected to the assault. According to the Metro Police Department the assault of a senior citizen “happened around 9:45 p.m. on May 8 in the 400 block of 7th Street, Northwest.” If anyone has information regarding that event call police at 202-727-9099.

‘White Helmets’ aid civilians in Syria

Life expectancy in Syria has dropped to approximately 20 year in Syria. The reason is not because there is a lack of clean water or that infectious diseases are running ramped, but because rusty old barrels are being packed with explosives and dropped into neighborhoods from helicopters. White Helmets is an organization that consist of mere plumbers, postmen, teachers, etc., who have become a medical and rescue team for those under fire. There goal is to provide relief for the countless that have been forced to leave their homes and move.

First round of Clinton emails released

The State Department released a subset of approximately 300 emails out of roughly 30,000 hoping to offer a fresh outlook at the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi. These emails reveal correspondence from Clinton regarding anything from policy briefs to friendly staff exchanges. The department tweeted that the emails that were released do not change any essential facts or knowledge of the events.

 

Beijing says U.S. is threatening South China’s peace

The United States participates in surveillance flights over the South China Sea, which Beijing calls a threat to the peace in the region. These flights could lead to accidents in the air or at sea, they warn. The United States claims they are in no way obligated to stop given they have freedom of navigational rights in the region.
