A U.S. official announced Thursday that top ISIS leader Tariq Al-Harzi was killed during a coalition airstrike last month. Al-Harzi was a recruiter in Iraq and Syria, also responsible for sneaking materials into the countries. U.S. officials believe that he was in charge of the terrorist group’s expansion to other nations such as Libya, Nigeria, and Egypt. He has been on the U.S. Designated Terrorist List since 2014.
