Lane closures for construction work began on Monday night on Interstate 395. The construction, planned to last until January 2016, will extend the 3rd Street Tunnel in order to create space for the Capitol Crossing development. On off-peak hours, such as early afternoon and late evening, I-395 will only have one lane functioning in each direction. No lanes will be closed during peak hours.
