On Friday, the Navy began its second phase of testing for the F-35C Lightning II aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower off the coast of Norfolk, Virginia. The plane is the Navy’s first stealth fighter and costs about $116 million each, set to be released by 2018. The first tests were completed in November of 2014 aboard the USS Nimitz, and this second phase is expected to last another week.
