Police are investigating the shooting of an unarmed black man during a traffic stop by a police officer. The man who was fatally shot in the head was Samuel Dubose, who was 43. The University of Cincinnati police officer was Ray Tensing, who says that he stopped Dubose for missing a front license plate. Dubose apparently refused to give the officer his license, and a struggle ensued when Tensing asked him to get out of the car. Police say Dubose tried to drive away when the officer shot him in the head. Investigators will review the footage on Tensing’s body camera and surveillance video to gain more insight. The officer is currently on paid administrative leave.
