Princess Charlotte christened

Charlotte, the second child of Prince William and his wife Kate, was christened on Sunday in the church at St. Mary Magdalene in Sandrigham, Norfolk. The ceremony was private and intimate, but, unlike Prince George’s christening, the public was informed of the date and location of the event. Police were ready for the large crowds gathered outside the church. In a break from tradition, Charlotte’s parents chose non-royal family and friends to be the godparents. After the ceremony, the family had tea at the Queen’s nearby estate.
