A suspect who allegedly stabbed a Macy’s security guard is in police custody. The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon when the suspect tried to shoplift from the Macy’s store at 12th and G streets. When the guard confronted him, the suspect stabbed him and fled. The suspect was taken into custody around 6:30 p.m. The guard is expected to be fine.
