Va. woman says her murder confession was forced

0

Janice Burney Widenor, who is charged with killing a man and entombing him in concrete, claims that the police coerced her into a confession. Her attorney asked the judge in her trial if he would allow an expert witness to speak about police interrogation techniques. The judge denied the request. The defense claims that Widenor was harboring a fugitive who died of natural causes, and she hid the body because she was afraid of the consequences of assisting a fugitive.
