Virtual Reality film ‘Henry’ debuts

The virtual reality company Oculus, which was acquired by Facebook last year, has debuted its second film, ‘Henry’. The film invites viewers inside the hedgehog Henry’s house for a birthday celebration. Using the Oculus Rift headset, they can look around his house in 360 degrees as the events of the 10-minute narrative unfold. According to founder Palmer Luckey, the company’s goal is not to introduce people to VR, but to demonstrate the potential of VR and inspire others to build better VR content. Oculus is planning to release the Oculus Rift commercially next year, and it will be bundled with free games and films, including ‘Henry’. Since Oculus came into existence, it has gained some competitors in the VR field, such as Valve and HTC’s Vive headset, and Sony’s Project Morpheus.
