White House lifts tourist photo ban

On Wednesday, the White House officially lifted a ban on photography and social media usage during public tours. Michelle Obama announced this policy change on her Instagram account. The White House said that they amended the rule because, with current technology, cameras can take better photos with less light. Too much light can damage artwork. Video cameras and flash photography are still banned in the building.
