The Washington D.C. area celebrated St. Patrick’s Day on March 11 with the 41st annual Washington D.C. St. Patrick’s Day parade. Parade participants marched through Constitution Avenue from 7th to 17th streets N.W — on an unusually sunny Sunday for March — with bright green colors to be found everywhere. The parade, which included numerous marching bands, military units, dance schools, floats, and a variety of other organizations, was a family-friendly event with many participants in the parade showcasing talent in dance and music and celebrating Irish culture.
