Kate Upton goes Vogue

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model has moved to the front page of Vogue for its upcoming June issue. Upton talks about her desire to create her own lingerie line as well as how runway modeling is not what she set out to do.

Upton also talks about an acting career. She has already appeared in “The Tower Heist”, “The Three Stooges”, and an upcoming film called “The Other Woman”.

The June issue of Vogue will be on sale starting May 21st.

As Washington D.C. prepares for an influx of visitors during the Nationals playoff season, there is concern that the cities many street lights may not function as needed. Because of a $100 million payment dispute that has yet to be resolved, the outside contractors responsible for maintaining the street lights are not available.

Officials in Ghana swore in a new president on Tuesday, hours after the death of the West African nation’s leader. John Evans Atta Mills died unexpectedly at a military hospital on Tuesday afternoon a few hours after he became ill, according to a statement from Chief of Staff John Henry Martey Newman. Mills was 68.

Bluewater Productions said Wednesday that Singer-songwriter Katy Perry will become the latest celebrity to grace the pages of her own “Fame” comic book. “Fame,” a biographic comic book, will share the tale of Perry’s rise to stardom. “Fame: Katy Perry” will depict the 27-year-old’s life from a Californian churchgoing girl to a celebrated pop star.
